BASIC FUNCTIONS

Under the supervision of the Manager Quality Assurance, the Central Documentation and Records Officer will define and implement among other duties:

  •          a centrally managed or coordinated system, under a corporate scheme of document hierarchy, for the management and control of documentation and/or data used in the conduct or support of operations. Ensure that an accurate and up-to-date information, presented in appropriate format, accepted or approved by the Authority, is available to users, including internal and outsourced service providers. Ensure that, within such a system, document or data on whatever the media may be (paper, sound, video, soft), are typically created or acquired, maintained, identified, revised, distributed, accessed, presented, retained, safeguarded, and/or deleted using or not computer systems, according to arrangements that ensure an organizational-wide consistency in documentation philosophy, format, and presentation of contents.
  •          a centrally managed or coordinated system for the management and control of records that document the fulfillment of requirements (e.g. aircraft maintenance, operational control, operational security) and ensure that, the content and the conservation of such records, whatever the media may be (paper or soft) is in accordance with requirements of the Authority and ASKY. He/ She will ensure that such records are subjected to standardized processes for identification, legibility, maintenance, retrieval, protection, deletion (electronic records) or destruction, and archiving.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT/ INTERPERSONNAL SKILLS

 

Minimum Educational Level:

  •          A Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Sciences.
  •          A degree in aviation industry or/and in quality management system would be an asset to better understand technical terms and retrieve operational and technical information.
  •          Knowledge of aviation sector, integrated document management, laws and regulations governing information management will be highly appreciated.
  •          Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with organizational and time management skills would be an asset.
  •          He/She will be able to read and understand technical and operational manuals, documents, and regulations pertaining to a wide variety of operational, technical and commercial areas.

Professional Experience:

  •          He /She must be a computer literate and at least 3 years’ experience in desktop publishing techniques; must be proficient in Microsoft Office and database management with an excellent typing skills and software archive management
  •          Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience in one or more of following sectors: flight operations, maintenance/engineering, dispatch, ground operations, in-flight services will be an advantage.

  •          Fully bilingual: English & French
