Compagnie Aérienne ASKY modernizes and rejuvenate its fleet with a New Boeing 737 MAX 8, registered ET-BBB

As part of its ongoing efforts to modernize and rejuvenate its fleet, Pan-African airline ASKY is proud to announce the arrival of a brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8, registered as ET-BBB, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
 
This next-generation aircraft, fresh from the factory, offers a seating capacity of 8 passengers in Business Class and 177 in Economy Class. It replaces the Boeing 737-700 NG, registered as ET-ANH, which retired from the ASKY fleet after 15 years of dedicated service.
 
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 sets a new standard in fuel efficiency, significantly reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. Its advanced engine design also minimizes cabin noise, ensuring enhanced comfort and a superior travel experience. The reduced noise footprint aligns with ASKY’s commitment to lowering environmental impact on local communities while providing a serene atmosphere onboard.

Dans le cadre de sa quête de modernisation et de rajeunissement de sa flotte, la Compagnie Aérienne Panafricaine ASKY est honorée d'annoncer l'arrivée, ce mardi 18 mars 2025, d’un tout nouveau Boeing 737 MAX 8, immatriculé ET-BBB.
 
Cet appareil de dernière génération, fraîchement sorti d’usine, peut accueillir 8 passagers en classe Affaires et 177 en classe Économique. Il vient remplacer le Boeing 737-700 NG immatriculé ET-ANH, qui a quitté la flotte ASKY après 15 années de service.
 
Grâce à ses technologies de pointe, le Boeing 737 MAX 8 offre une efficacité énergétique inégalée, réduisant considérablement la consommation de carburant et les émissions de CO₂. Son moteur optimisé atténue également le bruit en cabine, offrant ainsi aux passagers un confort amélioré et une expérience de vol encore plus agréable. Cette réduction des nuisances sonores témoigne de notre engagement à minimiser l’impact environnemental sur les communautés locales tout en garantissant un environnement paisible à bord.

Two Young Female Pilots from ASKY Among the 100 Most Inspiring Black Women of the 21st Century

This credo is fully embodied by two inspiring members of our team: Ms. Jessica KOUEVI from Togo and Ms. Jennifer YHAYE from Côte d’Ivoire. These two brilliants and determined airline pilots are among The 100 most Inspiring Black Women of the 21st Century, an honor that reflects our Pan-African Airline's commitment to fostering exceptional talents.
Ms. Jessica KOUEVI, the first female commercial pilot from Togo and the youngest in her country's history at just 24 years old, is a true symbol of courage and perseverance. A graduate of Ethiopian Airlines Aviation University, she holds a CPL (Commercial Pilot License). Specializing in Boeing 737 NG and 737 MAX, she was honored in March 2024 by Togo's Prime Minister, HE. Victoire DOGBÉ, who praised her bravery and determination.
Meanwhile, Ms. Jennifer YHAYE has charted her own brilliant course, earning her commercial pilot’s license at the age of 20 after training in Port Alfred, South Africa. With an MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) certification for Boeing 737 NG/MAX and expertise in single-engine, twin-engine, turboprop, and jet aircraft, Ms. Jennifer is a versatile and accomplished pilot. In 2019, she received the Ivorian Government's National Excellence Award for her outstanding contribution to the aviation sector.
These remarkable journeys reflect ASKY's core values: ambition, excellence, and determination. More than just an airline, ASKY is a key player in Pan-African development, promoting local talent capable of competing with the world's best.

ASKY TAKES DELIVERY OF TWO BOEING 737 MAX AIRCRAFT

On September 1, 2023, Asky officially took delivery in Lomé of two Boeing 737-Max aircraft, registration numbers "ET-BAQ" and "ETBAR", making it the first airline in West Africa to operate this modern aircraft type.
The use of these aircraft will help to improve service quality, especially as they will enable us to fly further afield to destinations such as Nairobi, Johannesburg and Praia (Cape Verde), thus raising the level of service to all destinations.

AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN ASKY AND THE TOGOLESE STATE
